New 13,400 SF restaurant opening in new ground up building at Comstock, Reston Station metro. Our 4th successful interior build out with the Farmers Restaurant Group. Challenges were coordination of construction in a new ground up building, LEED Certified documentation and schedule requirements. The design required a 2nd story mezzanine for kitchen services, This created a challenge for space in the plenum ceiling for all grease duct, electrical services, and all related plumbing. We used BIM modeling to map out all equipment in 3D and develop a clash report that helped us understand and resolve our conflicts.
